Lord Nelson - History

Our Admiral’s own little nest is also the narrowest hotel in Sweden with an interesting past.

History

Lord Nelson is housed in a building that dates back to the 17th century and is reminiscent of an old ship. Barely six meters wide, the building on Västerlånggatan 22 in Old Town is undoubtedly the narrowest hotel in Sweden. The building, with its powder-pink facade, was originally home to the printer Ignatius Meurer. He printed the Karl X Bible together with Göran Helsing. This bible is now back in the house as part of our collection. It can be admired in a showcase in the hotel lobby.
